Cindi Fraser-Langton

I'm a Registered Midwife, Specialist Safeguarding Practitioner and Domestic Abuse Consultant with over 12 years' experience working across healthcare and safeguarding. Throughout my career, I've supported individuals and families experiencing some of the most complex and vulnerable circumstances, while working alongside professionals to strengthen safeguarding practice and improve outcomes.

My passion lies in helping professionals recognise patterns of domestic abuse, ask the right questions and have the confidence to make informed, defensible decisions when they matter most. I believe professionals learn best when they understand not only what to do, but why it matters. 

I specialise in domestic abuse risk assessment, DASH training, reflective supervision and trauma-informed practice, delivering evidence-informed training and consultancy that combines front line safeguarding expertise with current research. Whether working with healthcare professionals, local authorities, universities, third-sector organisations or individual practitioners, my passion is to develop confident professionals who recognise risk earlier, strengthen safeguarding practice and make informed decisions that improve outcomes for victims, children and families.

Alongside my consultancy work, I am a PhD Researcher at Northumbria University, where my research explores adolescent domestic abuse. My doctoral research reflects my commitment to advancing the evidence base and ensuring that my training is informed by both current research and front line practice.
